If your child is interested in joining us at 1st Castle Hedingham Beavers then please do get in touch with us. We meet weekly during term-time on a Tuesday from 5.30pm to 6.30pm at Wooding Lodge and you and your child would be welcome to try out a session or two first, with prior arrangement, before making your decision.
Did you know? Our Beaver leaders have two names - their real name and also their colony name, so come along to meet Fox, Otter, Bumblebee and more!
Being a Beaver

Awards
Completing awards challenges you to do more, learn more and be more. See what's on offer and start your journey to the top.
Activity & Staged Badges
Become an expert in something you love, or try something shiny and new. There's a badge to suit each and every Beaver.
Moving up to Cubs
Eventually, it'll be time to say farewell to Beavers and embrace your next big adventure as you move up to the Cubs section.
Uniform and badge placement
You don't need a uniform to join. But once you've settled in, you'll start speedily earning badges, and you'll need to know where to put them!
Beavers accessories
From t-shirts to lunch boxes, water bottles and scratch posters to keep track of your little one’s achievements, we have it all!
Beaver leaders
All our leaders are trained volunteers and make sure Scouting is safe and open to all. Some lead every week and others visit to share their skills.
Parent helpers
There are plenty of ways to get involved, from being an occasional helper, to helping clean or maintain the hut or joining our management team.
